corporate interests who make money on keeping us disabled have infiltrated disability offices across the country to silence us. 05:40.560 --> 05:46.460 They want to keep giving us ABA and speech therapy for thousands of hours even when it is not working for us. 05:47.280 --> 05:50.680 They say our communication must be validated and that is illegal. 05:51.680 --> 05:57.240 The Americans with Disabilities Act gives disabled people the right to communicate in any way we choose. 05:58.280 --> 06:06.160 We have a bill in New York that affirms this right and the State Disability Office time I found someone that was really cutting edge really taking things to another level whether it was a surgery or a technique or being less invasive. 07:26.620 --> 07:31.540 Not only were they not they are so trained in like for instance breaking down a task into its minute motor steps. 08:17.420 --> 08:20.740 And if you think about what it takes for a non-speaker to learn to type. 08:21.060 --> 08:28.740 They have to learn how to coordinate their vision and moving their eyes with their hand to accurately get to letters. 08:28.920 --> 08:31.420 Because until they're accurate they're not that they don't believe that non-speakers are intellectually in there. 08:58.080 --> 09:03.600 It's sort of like the cart before the horse or they're letting the outsides dictate what they think is --> 12:35.820 Okay. 12:36.040 --> 12:41.600 There are lots of typers now who are typing autonomously, meaning it's in a cradle, no 12:41.600 --> 12:44.440 one's helping it, no one's holding it as a communication partner. 12:45.780 --> 12:51.200 And those folks hopefully are helping to validate it for those spellers and typers 12:51.200 --> 12:53.240 who can't get to that level of autonomy. can't take that out of the equation. 13:08.900 --> 13:12.440 You have to find the letter you're looking for, which is why it takes time to learn 13:12.440 --> 13:16.320 to do this accurately, is like
